Ypres trip 2018, remembering the fallen.

In late October 2018, seven cadets from 613 squadron attended the Hampshire and Isle of Wight trip to Ypres, Belgium.

This truly moving experience involved visits to the Essex Farm cemetery, Passchendaele and Tyne Cot cemetery where we laid a wreath on behalf of 613 Squadron.

My highlight of the two day trip was parading under the Menin Gate in Ypres, for their daily ceremony that has taken place every day since the end of World War One.

These emotional few days were a great opportunity for us to learn more about the horrors of WW1, and to remember the fallen.
