Remembrance Parades 2019

Over the weekend, cadets from 613 Squadron represented the Royal Air Force Air Cadets in two parades in which we remembered and paid our respects to the fallen.

We participated in the Holybourne parade on the Saturday 9th November and the Alton parade on the 10th. Both parades were very successful and all the cadets looked very smart, on Saturday we were accompanied by Bagpipes and on Sunday we were accompanied by the Boys and Girls Brigade bands. We had an excellent turnout on both days and the cadets should be proud of the way in which they conducted themselves and how much effort they each made on their uniform. Parading alongside us where the Army Cadets, the Scouts, the Guides and other uniformed organisations who all took part and paid their respects.

2019 marks several 75th anniversarys due to the many important battles than occurred in the year 1944; some of these included the D-day landings, Operation Bagration and The Battle of Arnem which were all considered as contributions to the turning point of WW2.
